Our season normally opens on September 1st. and continues thru the end of the year. If you want hard-horned elk, they are always done polishing by the first of September. If you want whitetails in velvet, early September is the time to come in. If you want whitetails in hard-horn, they are pretty well polished up by approx. September 20 and after.
